La aparición inesperada en un pueblo costero de una mujer de origen albanés, Vera, provoca que Jordi, que acaba de llegar de Argentina para asistir a un entierro, decida investigar la desaparición de su padre, de la que se cumplen ya 20 a?os y al cual dan por muerto. Contará con la ayuda de su primo hermano Diego, escritor retirado en una aldea, con el que empezará un viaje con el tiempo limitado para encontrar a su padre, que se fue del país junto con la madre de Vera para librarla de un futuro criminal.
